• You can simply do a Google Search for “YouTube Tag Extractor”, and that will get you an up-to-date list of whatever is available.
Please keep in mind, this is such a simple thing, you should never have to pay for it, and there should always be free tools ready-to-use.
  • The free tool I have been using, for years, is https://online-free-tools.com/en/youtube_video_tags_extract_url
Once there, all you have to do is paste the URL of the YouTube Video from which you wish you extract tags, and it will return both a text list with separated lines, as well as a list separated by commas.
  • Video Tags can be adapted to WordPress Post Tags, or you can pluck the tags from a Competitor, and use them in your own Videos.
There may be a wide variety of uses for tag extraction, so keep it in mind, as it may come-in-handy.

  • NOTE: If you are trying to figure-out how to actually ADD tags to a YouTube Video, all you have to do is go to your video, and click the “Edit Video” button. (You can also do this through your YouTube Studio Backend)
Once Editing a Video, you will be able to change the title, description, and below that, you can enter your tags, separated by commas.
